Piercing
A good piercing is decided before the needle touches you — by the anatomy, the angle and the jewellery, in that order.

The appointment
Assessment
We look at the anatomy before anything else. Not every ear, nose or body suits every piercing, and an honest no saves months of trouble.
Marking
Placement is marked, checked sitting, standing and from a mirror, then marked again until the angle is right in every position you will live in.
The pierce
Single-needle, sterile, opened in front of you. A hollow needle removes a column of tissue instead of tearing one, which is why it heals cleaner.
Jewellery
Implant-grade steel for the initial piece, correct gauge and enough length for swelling. Down sizing is part of the aftercare plan, not an upsell.
Checklist
- 01Do not come with a fresh spray tan or sunburn on the area
- 02Eat beforehand — piercings on an empty stomach make people faint
- 03Hair tied back, nails short, and remove jewellery from the surrounding area
- 04Tell us about allergies (especially nickel), blood thinners, or diabetes
- 05Cartilage and dermals need more healing time than soft tissue — plan around it
Jewellery, and why it is not optional
Most "my piercing will not heal" cases are jewellery cases. Poor alloy, a rough thread, a bar too short to allow swelling, or a ring that moves the wound edges every time you sleep on that side.
The studio fits implant-grade steel initially and reviews the fit while the piercing settles. Down sizing to the correct length is part of the healing plan.
If you already have a piercing that is irritated, migrating or rejecting, send a clear photo before booking. Sometimes the right answer is to leave it alone and come back in six weeks.

Next step
Describe the placement you have in mind. The Tampere studio will tell you whether your anatomy supports it before you book anything.
Requests are confirmed personally by the studio.
