Tattoo

A custom piece starts with a conversation about you — then the design is drawn for the body it is going on in our Tampere studio, not adapted from a sheet.

The commission

Four stages, and you approve each one before the next begins.

01

Enquiry

Send the subject, the placement, a rough size and anything you already love. One honest paragraph is more useful than a perfect brief.

02

Design

The studio draws to your anatomy — how the composition wraps, stretches and ages matters more than how it looks flat on a screen.

03

Session

Stencil positioned and approved, sterile single-use needles opened in front of you, breaks whenever your skin needs one.

04

Healing

Written aftercare before you leave, a check-in while it closes, and touch-ups by the same artist who laid the line.

Checklist

The small things that make a session shorter, cleaner and easier on you.

  • 01Eat a proper meal and hydrate the day before — it genuinely changes how you take it
  • 02Avoid alcohol for 24 hours; it thins blood and pushes pigment out with the plasma
  • 03Wear something that gives the placement away without you having to fully undress
  • 04Bring reference, but expect the design to move away from them as it finds your body
  • 05Shave the night before, not the morning of — fresh razor burn is not tattoo skin
  • 06Tell the artist about medications, skin conditions or allergies before the stencil goes on

On size, pain and time

Pain is mostly a placement question. Bone and thin skin read stronger than muscle-heavy areas, and almost everyone adapts within the first few minutes once the body stops treating the machine as a threat.

Session length is limited by your skin, not the clock. Once a region is overworked it swells, holds less pigment and takes longer to heal — so a piece that could be rushed in one sitting is often better split in two.

Sizing is a trade-off with detail. Work that has to read from a distance at forty needs more room than the same idea drawn for a photo taken today.

Next step

Send the idea and the placement. The Tampere studio replies with a design direction and an honest estimate before anything is booked.
